I'm thinking of upgrading the amplifier of the Dayton audio sub 1500, since its only providing 150W RMS, and the 15 inch driver is not beimg used to its full potential. I've seen the results of others upgrading the amp, such as in these two videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdgMmTTDNH8, and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6CWdDmEeUA. The second video uses a 190W amp, however I'm planning to upgrade to at least 250W. The problem is that I dont know the specifications of the driver of the sub 1500, its wattage rating, impedence, etc., and I couldn't find this information anywhere. I would simply like to know if its safe to upgrade the amp to 250W since I would't want the amp to tear the driver apart if its pushed too hard.

If you can get inside and look at the driver, should have some kind of stamp on it, then u Google that sucker.

You have already optimized the sub placement? Youtube videos show how-to.
