Upgrading Computer. Does it require clean drive?

Hi,
Im upgrading my computer soon with a i5 6600k.
I currently have a Fx 6300 with a gtx 760.
I also have another gtx 760 that I'm planning to SLI with until i can upgrade to a newer GPU
So I'm going to have to buy new motherboard and ram.
Am i going to have to wipe my drive and do a fresh install or will i be able to boot up with the drive i have now?

yes you have to as windows will barf or go into a boot loop.
