If there's a buck to be made... society will always be able to regurgitate some waste of air ready to take advantage.

I'm confused on where this buck is being made. 95% of the spam I receive isn't even advertising anything, its just garbage. That's the spam I hate the most. Most spam just seems to be about getting email addresses to sell to other people trying to send their own spam. Most spam would probably stop if disreputable individuals stopped paying other disreputable individuals for worthless email lists.

Seriously, who clicks on a link for V1@g-ara or goes to www.fr33mon3y whoopsie I forgot the .com? We should license internet users like we license drivers. At least we can be assured these people got a basic lesson in how to use the internet. I honestly think most people who do click on spam don't even understand that anyone can send them emails and that not all of them are legitimate or safe.

But I'd love to live in #7 on that list "UNKNOWN 972 3.76%" seems like a wonderful place to live in :p

i personally think in this day and age anything that cause an annoyance in society or is a crime of any nature should be punishable by death.... plain and simple...this planet is running low on resources, and we need to thin out the gene pool to make way for man to eveolve properly.... im tired of hearing how a persons father is also his uncle...

Hmmm, most of the spam messages I get are from domains registered by individuals in the US or Europe, but the sites are hosted in China or Korea. The mail itself is often relayed through various cloud services.

And yeah, I don't even remember the last time I ever received an actual advertisement. Every spam message I get either has a virus attached, or it links to phishing websites.

I just ignore spam, easy enough.
Though the occasional one I do read is usually a good laugh. (And people fall for this stuff?)

And no, I want real meat... I got a smoked beef rib to go eat thank you.

I got routed to my ISP's search engine. Darn, I guess I wouldn't pass the internet surfing test.

Spam is a minor nuisance but what is a far worse nuisance are telemarketers especially the telemarketing scammers with their automated calls.

If everyone fought spam, instead of ignoring it or filtering it out, there would be less of it. Here is an easy way to fight it - http://www.spamcop.net/
Just be sure to use a throw-away e-mail address if you use this service.

We may not lead in sports anymore... We may not lead in technology anymore... We may no longer be the richest... We may persecute our smart people with our "OMG U R a nerd" culture... But by golly, we still know how to spam...
