It would be less of a deal if all China censored is porn. However, they censor any sort of criticism of the government, so this means any blog, forum or website that in any way criticizes the government, or even just posts links to a news story that paints the government in a negative sense.

In fact, during the contaminated Milk scandal a few years ago, the government CENSORED sites that reported the news, rather having parents feed their kids contaminated milk than risk any bad news getting out.

In fact, if Tom's were located in China, it would be censored due to some of the news stories reported and comments in the forums.

Yes, lets not be naive about things. Yes it is a well known fact that todays pornography industry has victims. However, you are completely off in your assumption as to who the victims are. The individuals hurt are those that participate in the films. The actors/actresses. The victims create the material. These victims are simple young adults (or just plain crazy old people...ew) who have huge amounts of self worth issues. Kids with mommy and daddy issues that have were taught no social skills or human value. The most anyone got hurt watching porn is maybe tennis elbow.

While I certainly have no problem with the adult entertainment industry, I will say this... it does consume a HELLUVA lot of bandwidth. So it might be more accurate to say that the Internet would be better off without (but, perhaps, not as fun).
