USB connection from sound bar to tv

I have a sub port on my sound bar and t.v. Can I connect the two via these ports?

USB port on your TV (and probably, on your soundbar) is for accessing flash drives with music / photos, nothing else.

If you want to play TV' sound thru the sound-bar, you must connect them with either optical or RCA cable, depending on what each unit has. You might also need a converter if there is no common input/output available.
