Anybody know if there is a generic driver for USB in DOS?
Is there any driver for any USB device in DOS?

If anybody knows, please tell me.

I can tell you what I've read. I purchased a parallel zip drive some months ago that came with a version of Norton Rescue (or whatever it's called). Some Norton documentation stated that creating a zip rescue disk with a USB zip drive would NOT work becasue there are no DOS drivers for USB.

Not specifically for DOS, but a USB Mouse will work with DOS applications running from Windows thanks to virtual drivers.

THIS IS YOUR PC TECHNICIAN

YOU CAN USE USB PORTS IN DOS, AS LONG AS THE DRIVER IS LOADED.

I'M GLAD TO SEE THERE'S A PC TECHNICIAN IN THE GROUP NOW. BY THE WAY:

THIS IS YOUR CAPS LOCK ON.
this is your caps lock off.

Please turn off your caps lock, and use your shift key to capitalize the necessary letters.

Anyway, if you can run the program under win98 dos shell, you'll get your usb drivers loaded automatically. I can play wing commander 3 (for dos), but not Star Control 2.
What program/game are you trying to run, specifically?

Lol

Look I work for a LARGE pc company. In my spare time, I come here to help ppl fix their computers. When I jump to this browser, the caps lock is the one I use B/C I need it when I get back to hell. I mean my job. I mean.. I know the proper etiquette for boards and posts, I just don t have the time nor patience to oblige.
