USB headphones microphone problem

When I talk with my friends in skype, they say they hear me as if some cable is losing connection and regains it in a loop. I cannot describe it better.

I have USB headphones and to be honest the USB part seems rather big for my computer sockets.

Try different headphones. To see if its the headphones or your PC.
