USB port damaged - how to power it down permanently

One of the USB ports is physically damaged. It produces tiny electric sparkles and gets very hot, sometimes acompanied by the windows "usb port disconnection sound" played every 5 seconds.

Is there a way to power it down so it stops to shorting out?
The Bios offers no settings to do this and deactivating it in the device manager will stop the annoying sound being played, but it still gets power and produces sparkles.

Without opening it and psychically desoldering it, nope.

What previous poster said, you'd need to physically disconnect it from the motherboard.
