What would be the best method to transfer all my data / applications from my old one to a new notebook? I'm thinking about swaping the hard drives (to keep data of the second partition), but I'm not sure if I'm going to able to use the Windows and the programs installed (which are in the first partition)… and I really don't want to go over the process of reinstalling and reconfiguring all my programs.

I've heard about the sysprep Out of the Box Experience.

Keep in mind that my notebook is running Windows 7 and the new one, WIndows 8.1. So using the OOTBE and then installing some drivers afterwards would work?

Thanks

Oh.. right. So it would work in a desktop pc for instance, right?

So I guess there's no escape for starting it from zero.

Thanks for your help on both of my questions!
