Using game controllers

Hello,
i am designing a RC model tank, i would like to use one of the current game controllers (wireless). Is information available on this topic?

Not sure but it sounds like a pain total in the butt. The game controllers will adhere to computer standards like USB whereas RC controllers are less likely to use these standards.

You might be better doing this the opposite way around. I.e. take a game controller, rip out the contents and put RC control electronics in there.

You'd have to program the Tank to accept the controls, and either find the frequency to transmit the signal from the controller to it, or attach a wireless receiver for that controller to the Tank. I know its possible, my programming teacher showed us how to do something similar a few years back.
