Using laptop screen as tv screen.

i own a very nice Acer laptop with an 18" full HD screen and a PS3, i was wondering if there is any way to play my PS3 on my laptop screen.

(in full HD ofcourse).

my dad was also wondering if there is any way to watch (digital) tv on his laptop. i figured that if its possible to get the PS3 on my screen it would be possible to get TV on his.

It should work fine for TV but there may be input lag which is bad for games.

Not without taking the screen off and re-wiring it.
