Versions from product keys

I have a lenovo laptop with win 8.1. I want to download my older version of office to this laptop.
i have the product key from my old software but I can't remember what version it is. Is there a way to find what VERSION I have through the product key?

Not without trying it, SFAIK. Microsoft would be the only source for key identification. Since it should ask for the keys at the beginning of the installation, it shouldn't be much extra time figuring out which version it is. Try each version with the key until it accepts it.
