At least the long outdated crapbox is good for something! Also do 22yr olds not have cell phones these days to make a 911 call. Old enough to have a gun too?

Stole a cell phone that likely has GPS, but didn't steal any of his Xbox stuff? That makes sense.

Actually it does. Robber probably stole his PC, so who would want an old xbox? Lol.

[citation][nom]richarduk[/nom]I thought you can trace an XBox that has been stolen and then reconnected to the net?[/citation]

Don't connect it to the Internet.

Nope. Just because the majority of this site are PC snobs doesn't change the fact that consoles, especially the Xbox, are way more popular for games.

Besides, how would the robber play Madden on a PC? He would have to settle on just NBA 2K.

People are careless. Place some reinforced door locks and keep them locked even when you are inside the house. I know a lot of time, when break in happen the guys are well equipped but extra security/safety measures translate to awareness and longer reaction time.

man i love america, burglars enter your house and left, and people tell you to get a gun and kill the bastard, but in venezuela if a burglar broke in to your home he will kill you, if for some reason you had a gun in your house, then people will tell your family that you got attacked because the burglar wanted the gun, so they better resist the urge to buy a weapon to defend themselves...

[citation]Once discovered by the burglar, MSN reports that the 22-year-old was bound and forced to take the robber on a tour to collect all valuable items in the house.[/citation]

How do you make a cell phone call while bound?

He was playing online with friends and left the console and controller on, therefore able to still communicate to his friends even while bound, after the robbery.

Article is old news, yet people still fail to read properly before commenting.

[citation][nom]bak0n[/nom]If he had a gun. He wouldn't of had to use his headset, just his phone to call for corpse pickup.[/citation]
Couldn't agree more. Security is not about having a fool proof system, it is merely a matter of having a system that is either intimidating (dog/alarm), or would have severe consequences (gun). Simply make a target that is not worth the effort.

All the more reason not to live in some shit-hole of a country like Venezuela. Besides, most people don't have time to go for their gun, load it before the intruder attacks them. Need to learn self defense and grab your biggest kitchen knife, THEN make your way to your gun after holding off, or scaring off the intruder. But hey, they don't breed intelligent people these days...

Not worthy of an article, he could have just walked next door and used the neighbors phone... I thought he was going to report someone breaking on the headset and they called the police while he was forced to give his stuff away and then the intruder was met outside by the police when he left... They didn't even catch the guy, so what exactly has the headset done?

[citation][nom]-Jackson[/nom]What the hell is it with you people and guns.[/citation]
You're so right! Why bother with self-defense? Grabbing your ankles and bending over is so much more efficient. Only criminals should be allowed to have weapons. Police come along to clean up the mess.[citation][nom]hasten[/nom]I have weapons. Locked, as they should be. Not gonna do a lot of good in this situation. But obviously you are a moron (we know what political affiliation) gun nut.[/citation]None of your weapons are available for protecting yourself, and you're calling him a moron? A guy with a baseball bat could break into your house and knock your arse out. Then rob you while you lie there unconcious in a puddle of urine (yours, his, who knows its a mystery). Why even own weapons if they're alllocked up, and by your own admission, not useful for home defense? Just as toys?
