Hello.

So, as the title suggests, I'm having an issue with editing my recorded gameplay videos. I'm currently a multi-monitor person and truly enjoy playing games in that resolution. I enjoy uploading my videos to youtube for people to watch and I'm able to conveniently link them with my steam profile allowing my steam friends as well as the community to see them. Before I had a multi-monitor setup, uploading videos to youtube in 1080p was super simple.

Now, if i were to upload a video to youtube in 5760x1080, people who wanted to watch my videos would just be watching a highly distorted video given that the high majority of gamers play on one monitor. I have VLC media player and when I watch my videos in there, I can crop the aspect ratio of the video down to 16:9. My question to you all is, is there a video editor out there that can crop my videos like VLC can and if so, which one. I have searched for the past few hours and have found nothing that allows this option.

You can download a trial version to test it before you buy it.
These are not free but are reasonably priced:
Corel VideoStudio Pro X6: http://www.corel.com/corel/product/index.jsp?pid=prod4900077&cid=catalog20038&segid=9500002 $79.99 for the Ultimate Version and $69.99 for the standard version (http://www.corel.com/corel/product/index.jsp?pid=prod4900075&cid=catalog20038&segid=8100022).

You could also try Adobe Premiere Elements (available as a trial with Photoshop Elements): http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=photoshop_elements&loc=us $99 for Premiere Elements alone.

A third choice to consider is Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12 ($99.95) or Movie Studio Platinum 12 Suite ($129.95) Might be able to find a better price...

Ive looked at maybe 10... of which I can only remember one. It was called VideoPad. I unfortunately didn't commit the rest to memory as they ended up being useless. I prefer free, but if there is one that has this option and it has a good price point I'll consider buying it.

There are others but those three came to mind first.
