Video editing/Some gaming laptop (-$500)

I need a laptop for video editing that is also decent at gaming. I do not need a desktop since I will be playing console games and some on the laptop (Rarely). I need the laptop screen to be at least 720p to 1080p. No less than 8gb of ram and around 500gb of memory if that is not possible I have an exterior 1tb hard drive.

I would just a Asus laptop with an i7 and than put in your own 16gb kit. the laptop with a 950M is about $800. best bang for the buck below $1300

Can I increase the ram to 16 or 12 if possible?
