[Video] Which one to purchase?

I want to buy a videocamera. I'm a beginner, so I don't realy know what are the things to look at. Therefor I post what I want to do with that camera and how often I want to use it.


Summary
- Digital recording
- Digital saving (chip?)
- Connection via USB(2) or FireWire (both available on my computer)
- Connection to my TV
- Shouldn't be too heavy, so I want to be able to carry it with one hand

What do I want to film with that cam?
- My own family
- Boarding and Skiing-videos
- LanParties


What would you recommend to me?

Of course I used google, but I didn't found a real communitysite for videocameras like www.prad.de for TFTs or this one for computers. Perhapes you know one?

And sorry for the rare informations, tried to translate it by hand from german to english

My friend has the sony pc330 its very good
Its the top of the line
But its very expensive
