Vista dont load

Hello,
I have a toshiba sattelite A200-1lz laptop.today I tried to open it and after the appearance of the bar it stops loading.A black screen appears and the mouse.It doesn't open in safe mode or from the cd so I can't repair windows.The other partition is visible from a live cd,but c: isn't. What do you think I can do?

the reply of ubuntu live cd is the following:

Error mounting: mount exited with exit code 13: ntfs_attr_pread_i: ntfs_pread failed: Input/output error
Failed to read NTFS $Bitmap: Input/output error
NTFS is either inconsistent, or there is a hardware fault, or it's a
SoftRAID/FakeRAID hardware. In the first case run chkdsk /f on Windows
then reboot into Windows twice. The usage of the /f parameter is very
important! If the device is a SoftRAID/FakeRAID then first activate
it and mount a different device under the /dev/mapper/ directory, (e.g.
/dev/mapper/nvidia_eahaabcc1). Please see the 'dmraid' documentation
for more details.


I didn't mention I use windows vista.I'd gladly do a format,but i have some data to save first. thanx in advance for your replies.
