vivo y71 missing 8gb storage memory

my vívo y71 has a 16gb phone storage and all apps on my phone and items total to 7g+. Why is there an almost 9gb missing?

There isn't. That space was never available. The 'advertised' space is the system total, not the amount that is available. That is the total space before you add the OS (operating system), preinstalled apps, etc. So you would never have had access to that space.

It is like this on most devices. Personally I think they should include info on it showing how much of that is 'available' space with the specs, but they don't.
