Solved! Vizio/Directv

Last week we bought a Vizio E series tv. I set it up and all worked great. Yesterday when we turned it on, it opened up on HDMI 1 which has nothing on it so the screen read "No signal." Up until then it has always started on the Directv/Genie input which is where we need it to start. I hit the input button on the remote, and cannot get anything on Directv/Genie. I try opening Netflix or Amazon Prime, or freetv then switch back to Directv/Genie and it will work just fine. My wife is more technologically slower than I am so we need our tv to come on directly to Directv upon turning it on. Any suggestions?

Make sure the Genie is turned on when the TV is turned on. There may be a place in the TV setting menu that will let you select the default input for when it turns on.

Thanks for the reply. It's always been on. I guess that it's just something that we are going to have to deal with.
