Solved! Vizio sounder overcurrent detected

I have a Vizio VSB210WS sound bar and subwoofer. Lately when I watch TV, the audio cuts out completely and we have to turn the sound bar off and turn it back on again to get the sound back on. It usually continues to happen every 5-10 minutes afterwards until we are done watching TV for the night. Recently, I decided to actually read the manual and what it says is that overcurrent detection is indicated. What would cause this to happen? As an experiment, we unhooked it from the TV and it happened again.

I would say that something in the power supply or amplifier in the soundbar is overheating which would shut the soundbar down.
Since it's about 11 years old repair would make no sense. Time for a new one.
