VLC Player Volume Is No Longer Controlled by Mouse Wheel

As per VLC Player’s default configuration, every time the program is used to play the audio or video file, its volume can be controlled by moving the mouse wheel up or down. When the mouse wheel is moved up, the volume increases. Likewise, when the mouse wheel is moved down, the volume decreases.

If your instance of VLC Player no long responds to the mouse wheel movements, your first step should be to check if the mouse wheel is working properly and is not faulty. You can do so by opening any document or web page that has vertical scrollbar. After opening such document or web page, you can move the mouse wheel up or down to check if it is functioning properly and the document or the web page are scrolling up or down as expected.
