Hi there i keep getting wierd things happening to my laptop. first of all the windows xp sign has little dots on it like its not using the full display, then when it boots into windows it is black with no picture, can someone help me find out a solution to this problem please

check for graphics card driver update & run antivirus scan...
please give us more details with exact problem

Have you tried booting into safe mode? Try that then go to dells site and download the most current video driver. Then uninstall the current driver and reboot. Then install the new driver you just downloaded and reboot one last time. After all that tell us what you get.
