Wal-Mart sells Sprint

The Super Wal-Marts in my area have constructed these nice Cellular
kiosks... and they sell Sprint phones and service plans.

There is a promo that offers anyone who signs up through Wal-Mart that
gives one a free year of Roadside Rescue. I don't know if you have to
sign up for a 1-year or 2-year commitment. But I just thought that was
interesting enough to point out.

Some do.

The one near my old house in Lake County, Ohio, near Cleveland, sells Alltel.
The one in Apple Valley, California sells Cingular.

I don't remember what Victorville, California sells.

You're welcome, Phillipe. There are some times when you are quite
pleasant to talk to. If the person who was imitating you would just
stop... maybe this group could get better and not be all about bickering
and backbiting.

Anyways, I was in the neighboring Sam's club yesterday and they did not
have any of the same kiosks. And as far as I can tell, its only Super
Wal-Marts that have them as well as the lone "regular" wal-mart did not
have these.

The kiosks are set up quite nice. All post-paid phones and plans on one
side (Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T) and all prepaids on the other (Virgin
Mobile, TracFone, EasySpeak, GoPhone/AT&T Prepaid). The display phones
were not on or active, but were out so customers could see how they felt
in hand and what not.

The free roadside rescue for a year was the only wal-mart exclusive deal
for Sprint customers. The rebate forms there also stated something
about "Service Credits" instead of "instant rebates". I'll have to
check more into that to see what that was all about.

I will be quite happy to meet you and others more than halfway in stopping
personal attacks. I HAVE NEVER used improper pr obscene language in making
personal attacks against individuals.

It is time to end all vendettas. I can use ONE alias
when the forging for character asassination purposes stops.

I will do my part and apologize for antagonizing you and such as well
and being less that receptive. You do make good and valid points often
and your posts have been informative and continue to be.

I note one California dealer than SPAMed this group earlier today is offering
2000 minutes for $100/month which is more than SprintPCS offers currently on
the web (1800 minutes).

In Tucson Walmart has an Alltel kiosk. Sams
sells several including ATT, VZW, Sprint. BestBuy
sells several.. It seems to change with time etc.

How in the world could someone offer that many minutes for $100?? Was
this a local or national plan? What was the catch?

One catch was they were "giving away" the old noncolor screen Nokia phone. So
perhaps in exchange for helping SprintPCS clear out those Nokias, he's allowed
to offered the old 2000 minute plan.

That is interesting. I wonder if one had to sign up for a two year

nationwide (by mail order) if he was spamming this group? I wonder if a
2000 minute $100 plan is available in any market.

I don't believe you will ... It's in the nature of the beast (that's you) to
change IDs on an hourly or daily basis.

Work Wireless operates a number of the kiosks in Sam's Club locations
here in Louisiana. They sell Sprint, Cingular, Nextel and, IIRC here,
AT&T and Verizon.

They also offer some satellite television service - I think it's DirecTV.

The Wal-Mart stores here have sold Sprint for a time. I even saw a
brand-new N400 sitting in the case at my local Wal-Mart. $144.88
outright. I hope it's on clearance.

They carry the RL7300, 3588i, VGA1000 and I think the VI660.

My Sam's Club has a similar kiosk, but its not nearly as nice or "hands
on" as the ones I've been seeing in the Super Wal-Marts.

I wouldn't pay $10 for the N400. No real experience with that model,
but I did have a trouble N200 for a week or so before exchanging it...
and the reports on the N400 have been none-too-kind.

Essentially the same phones they carry at Costco, except you can include
the Sanyo 8100 and the Toshiba VM 4050 in that selection. I was hoping
that they were carrying the Samsung A680, but not yet.

I did see an A680 dummy on display at the Work Wireless booth in a Sam's
Club outside of New Orleans last weekend. Didn't get a price, sorry.

I don't shop at Walmart but Costco is about to carry the Sanyo 8200 for a

This is was what came with the $100 plan before they lowered it to 1800. And
before that it was 2000 for $85.
