I assume you are looking for a flash that is fully compatible with a newer
EOS model, maybe DSLR. A brief search shown this model new from $160 to
$200 US.

I clearly here that you want to barter... presumably because you don't have
the cash. If you have some cash you might be able to catch a deal on eBay
as suggested but it takes patience since bidding wars tend to run up the
prices. For example:

bidding today is $75.

If can settle for an older Canon flash you will have a better chance of
getting a bargain. I bought a very good condition 540EZ for a good price
and could have saved even more on a lesser model.
