Watching netflix on my sony bravia KDL-50R550A I can't get the sound to my Harman/Kardon BDS-270 sound sytem??

I have a wifi connected sony bravia KDL-50R550A to view Netflix
I do not get sound coming from my Harman/Kardon BDS 270 sound system when watching a movie ....I can only get sound through my tv speakers

Everything works when watching a dvd/Blu-ray or my cable..

What seems to be the problem??

Is your harmon/kardon being used as a pass through or are you connecting directly to your TV?

I connect to netflix straight from the wifi from the tv...i have a hdmi cable going from my Harman/kardon to my tv....both my input are in the hdmi arc input??

may have to use the audio out to the receiver or the digital audio out or look under netflix setup see if it set to two speakers or surround sound.

TV out is set as default would be my guess. There should be a setting on your TV to output sound to another device.

My tv option has the option tv speakers and audio system...when it is at tv speakers it works...on audio system there is no sound
It also has the audio out option where the choices are variable and fixed
And the option Digital audio out with the options Auto and PCM

You will need another cable, either optical out or digital out to the receiver.
