water on touchpad

Hi, I just spilled water on my acer touchpad and now the buttons aren't working anymore, nor does tapping the touchpad twice. I dried the laptop as soon as it happened and I've turned it off and on. Please help me! What do I do?

Give it time to dry out or buy a standard usb mouse.
