Need some help!

Just bought a Logitech C920 Hd webcam.

Everything works fine on that side, audio, video..etc
I have sony vegas and thats where it doesn't work.

I'm a Youtuber and play games and feature my face in some gameplay. However when I try to import the webcam video which is a mp4 file it only gives me the audio and no video. The weird part is, is that when I open the file up in windows media player it works fine video and audio is there but when I put it into the editing software is only gives me audio. I have double checked this by importing it to windows movie maker and still it won't work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Steve

Edit: This webcam has hc .254 codec if that helps

You could try encoding it in a different format such as .mov or something else with one of these two free video converters:
Handbrake: http://handbrake.fr/
MPEG Streamclip: http://www.squared5.com/
After converting the file to another format you could then try importing it into Vegas.

I am having exactly the same issue, not even super convertor will convert the type to another format, it seems the video is unusable, yet can be played on Windows 7 media player. We are considering abandoning Logitech Webcam capture software, but there does not seem to be a whole lot available for Windows 8 out there...
