Websites won't load.

I don't know what's going on, but when i try opening a website, it won't load. It'll just say "The connection was reset. The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading." It only happens to a few websites. I can access Facebook, & Youtube & a few other websites. If i go directly to Google's searchbar in the middle of the screen, it'll load results as to what i'm looking for, but when i try clicking on ANY of them, it just won't load. Help please? It's driving me insane.

If it is only some sites and not all sites then I would hazard a guess your ISP is doing some blocking. It could also be a setting in the browser that is stopping the sites from loading. Either it could be one of those or you have something on the computer that is blocking your access. Aka Virus, malware, etc.

Start with checking the settings in the browser and any add ons you have on the browser. Also, you may want to completely clear your browser history and cache (just save any log in info, urls, etc., first) and then restart the browser to see if that helps.

I did check the settings, i disabled every add-on and deleted web history. I play on this game called imvu, & it won't even show the profile pictures unless i click on a profile. it won't load room pictures or any picture, really. i'll see my profile picture but that's about it. I thought it might be wifi but
i'm not that smart on techy things so, rather ask someone who knows.

Both. A few sites won't load, but also images on that game won't load. These two issues began happening at the same time.

Have you tried using a different browser to see if you get the same message? If you do, then it is likely the problem is on their end, with that message.

Yes i have tried using different browsers. My default browser is Mozilla Firefox. I've tried using Google Chrome, Internet Explorer & even Opera. It all shows as the same.

Then I would really think there is something going on with the sites. Another thing you may want to check, are your plugins up to date? Not add-ons. Like say your adobe flash player and others? If they aren't up to date, then you could get issues.

Everything is very up to date. I decided to just factory reset my laptop instead. All i backed up was my pictures since that's really the only thing that matter to me most. So far, everything is going great. Images on the game appear now & i can visit any & every website! Thank you for your help though!
