My laptop has been acting weirdly. Whenever I boot it up, weird lines and squares and been showing up on the screen. The rest of the screen in black. Rarely, it boots up like normal, but within a few minutes it goes back to the state I mentioned. I don't particularly know what's causing it. I've tried everything that I could think of. Pls halp meh. Thanks.
Edit: Forgot to mention. It's a ThinkPad Lenova running Windows 7.

try using an external monitor on it to see if the monitor displays same lines & squares. if monitor does display them then the onboard videocard is crapping out or you have bad system ram that the onboard video uses if it does not have it's own ram.

I plugged in an external monitor, and everything seemed to be working fine. I try running a couple games,(e.g. Tf2 or Gmod) they simply wouldn't start up. You're probably right. The video card is probably fried or something like that. I also noticed it was heating up a lot more than last time I used it. I've given up on it. Thanks for trying to help anyways.
