I have a Pioneer plasma, with Sony HD DirecTV receiver, a Zenith over
the air antenna. I live in the West Palm area of Florida. I have had
the system for about a year now and it has been great. Today we had
the wierdest thing. I was watching the Dolfins game in HD over the
air. The picture was great, the audio was ONLY the stadium background
sounds, no announcers. The ref's mike worked fine. When it went to
commercial, I had full sound. My receiver showed as Pro Logic for the
entire time. At one point, the broadcast switched from 16:9 to 4:3 and
then the announcer audio was there. I also had last Monday night
football where I could not get any audio till I switched to enhanced
dolby and then the audio was kind of muffled.

Any suggestions??????

If you respond here, please email me as well jay_levine@hotmail.com -
We still don't have phone service from the hurricane so I don't want
to miss a response.

Thanks
Jay

It's not you, it's them. Same happended here (Minneapolis) this
Thursday during the Pats/Colts game. At least at the beginning. Then
ABC must have noticed something was wrong and they fixed it. Kinda
funny watching John Madden talk into the mike without hearing his deep
thoughts on football ;-)
Seems like HD is still new and there is a learning curve, not only on
our side as a spectator, but certainly on the networks as a provider.
My suggestion is to not start putzing with yer system yet. I've been
there before and it's not always us that have something "misalligned"
on our end.
They must have had problems with their audio feed in the HD
transmission and may not even have been aware of it.

Sounds like the techs at the broadcast sights failed to include all the
audio feeds. There by negating part of the audio available. Maybe a bit of
feedback to their respective companies will negate repeate of the
aggrivation?? Nothing worse than listening all the time to either the refs,
side line, or cheer-leaders only, Eh/
