What are the minimum camera requirements for for producing braodcast quality video.

I am a Pro still photographer. Never done video but looking into expanding my commercial work. For continuity (use of EF lenses) I would like to use the canon eos c100 for the price, but do I need to get the c300 or c500. I an my accountant/my wife like the 100 price. I need the camera to not look like amateur hour when it is broadcast on national TV.
