This receiver has an "IR IN port"
https://www.onkyousa.com/Products/model.php?m=TX-NR777&class=Receiver&source=prodClass

Please correct me if wrong, this port is so you can setup an IR receiver elsewhere, and have it forward infrared remote control signals to the A/V receiver, correct?

All the IR receivers I find on Amazon come with IR emitters/blasters. But, clearly the point of this IR IN port is to avoid having to use an emitter/blaster, right? So what cable could I actually use to go from the IR receiver to this IR IN port? (Please provide link to product, for example an Amazon product page).

I'm having a hard time locating one because I don't know what to search for. When I search for "IR cable" I always get blasters....

@SoNic67, thank you, I see that does answer my question as I typed it. But apparently I didn't provide enough detail. What think I need is something that can go from an IR box like this: https://www.amazon.com/BAFX-Products-Extender-Repeater-BAFX3233/dp/B009ZGK6QS/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_23_bs_tr_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=3WV5291908XSMNA1VNP4
... to the receiver.
Basically I need something that collects IR signals from the front of the room, and passes them to the cabinet where all of the equipment is stored, including blu-ray player, etc. If I use something like this, does it mean I can't really use the IR IN port on the receiver? Or should I be able to use a standard 3.5mm cable (male on both ends) to go from the IR box to the AV receiver?
