What Cable/ Hardware do I need to connect speakers to tv

I have a smart Samsung tv and the only audio out is optical, unless I'm completely blind. I want to connect it to my hifi speakers because they sound so much better, but that only has a 3.5mm input.
So I was wondering if Someone could link me the product that would get this to work???

What is the exact make and model of the TV and the receiver.

If your speakers are self powered and have their own volume control you need an optical digital to analog converter,.
The optical output is fixed so the TV remote won't change the volume.
