I am having Asus FX553VD Laptop with following specs:

######################
i7 7700HQ
GTX 1050 2GB
8 GB 2400Mhz
1TB 7200rpm
######################

The power adapter with it indicates 120W output.

(My friend having i5 6600, Asus gtx 1050,8gb 2400Mhz and 1TB 7200rpm using 500Watt psu.)

I wonder how 120 Watt is enough for my laptop as now companies like Intel and Nvidia claiming that there is no difference between desktop and mobile chips.

My question is what is the maximum power consumption of current generation gaming laptops.
