what does a blue screen with white birds and green leaves mean on sony lap top

I dropped our sony laptop and now when we turn it on the screen is frozen in blue with white birds and green leaves on the screen. The cursor moves but nothing else.

I'm really worried now because it has many photos and lots of music and videos. These have not been backed up (foolishly).

I would be grateful for thoughts..have we lost everything? I suspect the hard drive is damaged.

Were going to need some more information to fix this. What is the model number and product name of your computer? What operating system are you running?

You probably havent lost everything but we need to be careful about how its retrieved. You might need to hire someone to remove the data for you, but we can help you find someone that can do it depending on what type of recovery you need.

Have you done anything to try and repair the issue? Are you still experiencing the same trouble?
