What does comp480istandard input mean on mitsubishi big screen tv

Hi my Mitsubishi HDl080 series tv has started to blink green on power button when tv is off - since this started my tv will be on comp480i standard input (don't know what that means) with pic. then it seems to fall off station and static and noise appears. If I go over to input button and keep pushing input button, when I get back to comp480i standard, pic. will re-appear - later it will do same thing - happens an avg. of 2X/day
Any ideas really appreciated. Thanks

What model is your set? Have you tried hitting each of the front panel buttons a dozen times or so?
