Will the 5400 rpm hard drive be fine ? Since i heard that 5400 rpm hardrives are really bad, but i am probably wrong.

5400 RPM HDDs are fine. In fact, they are faster now than several years ago because the data is packed more densely; a result of increasing HDD capacity.

You should be able to configure the laptop with a 7200RPM HDD if you want.
