hmmm.
from your location your dish elevation would be 28.8 degress, which is kinda
low, make sure there is nothing in your line of site

Well I will just say this, up until yesterday I was getting a pretty good
signal off that bird with my old Primestar dish (approximately 36"x26" in
size). Then it rained (first time since I had put up this dish), and my
signal strength went WAY down, so that on most stations I got a lot of
pixelation and eventually "NO SIGNAL" But a couple still came in, with
only minimal breakup. Just tonight, probably about 36 hours after the
rain, I am back to having a useable signal on most of the stations.

So I am wondering if those Primestar LNB assemblies are susceptible to
water infusion. I got this dish out of a dumpster a few years ago, and if
there was supposed to be any sort of cover or shield over the LNB, it
wasn't there. For now I just threw a plastic bag over the end of the whole
thing, to hopefully keep it from getting rain soaked with the rain that is
moving in tonight. Once it has had time to dry out I may try coating some
of the obvious seams with a little silicone sealant to see if that will
keep the water out

Sounds like fog, water droplets on the inside of the plastic feed horn
cover. I cut them off and kill the wasps in the future.
