What is the best e-reader or tablet for $100

My grandpa is looking for something electrical to read on for about $100.
He needs something easy to use, easy to read, settings to change the font of words, and a decent sized screen.

I was thinking about a Nook are an Amazon Kindle. But I'm not sure what to get. Please help.
