What is the disc slot for on laptops

You play them on the XBOX , not on a Laptop.

Sorry if I'm mean, but it is utterly impossible to play console games on a computer. They simply won't work because they're made for an xbox, not a computer. It's like Windows and OS X: A program is made for Windows, but it can't work on OS X because it isn't made for it and it is also made differently, therefore impossible.

can't you stream from xboxone to win10 and control from the laptop?

windows 10 does have an xbox app but not sure if it will allow you to stream. MS has made versions of games for both but you need the PC version of the game to play on your computer.

Well, they could do that, but the op never said they even had an xbox one. For all you know, it could be the original xbox, or they might not even have one at all and just had some games laying around.

If this was the case, then if they had a spare computer monitor they could just hook it up to it.

They could do that with like original xbox games, but not an xbox 360 or xbox one. Microsoft would prbly just sue them if they would make an emulator.
