What to choose?

Hello which camera is best for me? i will be shotting animls, people and landscapes. Im a beginner in DSLRs.
Nikon d5300 or the Canon EOS 700D?

assuming they are a similar price they will both be able to do the job, the question is which ecosystem are you buying into? once you start down the route of canon you are stuck with canon and once you start with nikon you are stuck with nikon as the lenses are not interchangeable.

Have a look at the reviews on dpreview, they are very indepth and it might be that for this generation one is actually 'better' than the other.

I like Canon, but I've never used a Nikon, so I have no idea if it is better or worse.

Is there any place nearby where you can look and handle them both? Maybe you would prefer one over the other based on the way it feels, location of buttons, etcetera.
