What type of laptop do you recommend?

Hey guys! I'm gonna need a laptop soon for uni, but i already have an enthusiast desktop that will murder any laptop considering gaming. So I do not need a laptop with a good graphics card, what i need is, a very fast laptop that will do its tasks fast and stay cool throughout usage.. What laptop models are good at staying cool, and what specs should i have in mind as minimum? (I have a budget of $1000)
