whats wrong with my tv?

when ever i turn on my 42in vizio i get vertical lines for picture. sound works fine. anyone come across this before? was wondering what i might need to replace? anything would help thank you.

Does your T.V have firmware or a picture test feature. If your T.V is newer run a picture test or if it is a smart T.V (T.V it self not a box) try to upgrade the firmware. Also make sure all the wires are connected correctly.

According to the internet it's a fault issue. Doesn't mean it isn't fixable, though
