When I hook my zte phone to my element tv with HDMI cord it says no signal..plz help

Did you select the correct source on your TV? Is the cable tighly connected to your phone and the TV?

Does your phone support MHL?
If it doesn't you may not be able to use an adapter to connect it to the TV.
