When I switch on my laptop the screen seems off

When I switch on my laptop it boots alright but nothing shows on the screen not even the bios I tried an external screen but it still shows nothing like the screen is off

If it is showing nothing on the attached display and also on an external monitor, then your graphics card is probably going to need replacing.

That is usually the cause of it not working for any display at all.

jude_2, any lights on, fans & hard drive spinning?

I have replaced a few, but they were in older machines. I know many if not most of the new ones are now part of the motherboard. Which while may be good for saving space, isn't really good for repairing.
