I have a HE top load with a glass lid. I’ve recorded the quick wash rinse cycle. Clothes are pressed to the side of the drum from the post wash cycle spin. The rinse water trickles straight down, not touching the clothes. There’s no agitation during the rinse cycle, spin only. At the laundromat I defeated the lid switch on a top load Speed Queen. Its eco cycle operated similarly. It did a better job of directing the rinse water so that it landed on the clothing, but didn’t dispense enough water for a thorough rinse. Clothes felt slightly tacky afterwards. Normal cycles only for me.
