I was told that its gone and cant be bought. Even so the feed must be
there up there some where fta or something. I mean the west cost does not
watch the east right feed right.

If it is not up there available to you does not mean it is not there
for the cable companies.

Can you please clarify? I was under the assumption that if:
1. The signal is being transmitted by the bird
2. You can obtain the signal with the dish
3. Your box supports the cipher being used

that there's no reason for not being able to view the channel.

What specifically do you mean by "not up there available to you does
not mean it is not there for the cable companies"

It means they don't need to use a consumer available format to make it
available to cable. The can even choose to use a consumer ready format
and choose not to make it available to consumers.

I just got my big dish going again.
I want to know why did they stop it.
Is there a west feed anywhere?
If not where does the west coast get there nick feed from.
Or does east and west coast see the same feed at the same time?

If you go the websites I mentioned and lookback at the previous entries, you
should find Nick W mentioned. However,as I recall, nothing was stated about
why they left C band analog -it rarely ever is -because the signals are
there primarily for commercial interests!

What's left as far as Nick is concerned?:

C4-03 Nick East (analog)
various 4DTV channels on C3

As I recall Nick W and some other western feeds have switched to mpeg-2
powervu encrypted signals.
