4k screen on a laptop is a waste, the gpu not powerful enough to power it for games.

The i5-4210H isn't bad for gaming, but my personal qualm with that system is that you won't be playing games in 4k, so at 1080p the scaling may not look so good. It is still a good system for the price and would only recommend the i7/860m unit you posted over it if you are doing any video rendering. The i7/860m may also possibly last longer on the battery as it's not having to push so many pixels, even if the CPU itself uses more power.

Yeah i get it, and i would like to have the i7 one over the i5 tooto have some spare power. But that one has only 500gb HDD :x while the i5 has 1TB. But yeah, not many videos are in 4k either...and for 4k gaming the gpu is not enough xD I dont do video rendering btw.

There is nothing wrong with going 1080p or 1600p on games instead of 4k. You dont HAVE to play 4k just cuz the screen is 4k. Also as a college student, I don't even wanna begin to think of the hours I spent watching movies, shows, netflix, on my laptop. Being on a high res screen would be kinda nice for that.
