Whats better, 9500 or 9500 pro with normal overclocking?

No mod for the 9500, just bios change to unlock 9500 Pro.

Obviously stock the Pro is faster, but using just an overclocking program which card can go faster?

well. it all depends. just like any other card...

sometimes you might get lucky and get a 9500np with really fast ram and overclock it way past 9500pro speeds. but usually you wont because the manufacturer will only put the slowest ram allowable while still staying within spec so he can save money...

id say your best bet is the 9500pro. i mean it just makes sense

Can you open the extra 4 pixel pipelines without moding it all the way to a 9700? IS it in any way easier?

I haven't heard of that mod. I guess most people would go whole hog if they're gonna do it. But basically I would think that you would usually find a 9500NP that was meant to be a 9700, but was rejected perform better when modded (to just open the pipelines) simply due to likely better quality memory, therefore more headroom. However that would likely big your biggest obstacle. Quality of build of the 9500NP vs 9500P.
Is there a link to this mod that only opens the pipelines and doesn't change the memory from 128 to 256? Just curious if someone could post a link because I haven't seen anyone discuss this or mention it, anywhere.

Dang, another thing I don't know. One more and I'll have to resolve my life to being a ski-bum!

Just overclocking, the 9500 PRO will kick the 9500's a$$, because the 9500 PRO has 8 pixel pipelines, the 9500 has 4.

Even if you overclock the 9500 faster than the overclocked PRO, the PRO will deliver far better performance.

Proof lies in the 9600PRO.
