i have a question for you. Is the i3 3rd gen 3217m chief river core 1.8ghz better or i3 3rd gen 3120m hm75 2.5ghz.
The 1st one is from a touch laptop and the other is normal and the touch laptop has gt 740m or 730m and the other has amd radeon hd 8750m. I'd like to know which is a better performer for games and other multitasking.both of them have 4gb ram and windows 8.

Solution
Yes, the extra frequency is going to make some difference, but not that much. Anyways for gaming the GPU matters more, hence go for the one wiith the 740m

I hope this helps.

Neither 740m nor 730m are considered gaming CPU's so better stay away from those laptops.

Also we need to know a budget range between which I can suggest something. Seriously, we cannot just guess in air the budget. We need to know some base point to start researching from.

i really dont mind telling you the budget and im not a high end all the way gamer.im a college student but none of my work really need a great processor and the budget is 36000 INR.i'm not going to buy the laptop from online so the price might decrease in local dealer's store.and i thought the nvidia gt 740m was a pretty good gpu. I'll give u the names of these laptops the touch laptop is Asus s550cb-cj123h (3rd gen i3 1.9ghz,4gb ram,15.6inch,500hdd, nvidia gt 740m or 730m)and the other one is samsung np300e5v-s02in(3rd gen i3 2.5ghz,4gb ram,500hdd,15.6inch,amd radeon hd 8750m)

Well.. after researching a lot, for the price I was not able to find a laptop having better Video card than the 740m. So at this price range, go for the laptop with the 740m as it is faster than anything else I could find in that budget.

Hence go with the laptop which has the 740m as I cannot find anything better than that in this price range.

i know which the better gpu is but is the processor good enough to support it or is i3 3rd gen river chief core 3217m 1.9ghz better than the other i3 3rd gen 3210m 2.5ghz . Im just asking if the 1.9ghz is enough or will it lag or do i really need the 2.5ghz so that it wont lag?

That makes sense and if you say that it gives a radeon 8750m performence but the the one with the amd laptop is 3000 inr more. So i think i'll take the nvidia gt 740m one. I was just hesitant ,thinking that the i3 with 1.9ghz does make a great difference for gaming and might lag. So thankyou all :) very much
